September’s Hot New Restaurant Openings - London

Bébé Bob, Soho

The team behind Bob Bob Ricard is opening a new, rotisserie-style restaurant in Soho this September. Located on the corner of Golden Square in Soho, it's set to mark the 15th anniversary of the original restaurant. The new concept will feature just two options for your chicken from Chef Director Ben Hobson, the preparation of which differs from two regions in France. Both are served and carved tableside. However, an essence of Bob Bob Ricard will of course be present, with staples like caviar and truffle french fries being on the menu.

Set in an opulent Art Deco style, the restaurant will be as glamorous as its parent. The interior has been designed by Daniel Monk, a London based studio who previously worked on the design of the original restaurant across the road. Alongside the main restaurant area, there's also set to be a 12-seater circular bar inside the entrance serving a drinks list to match the setting. Despite abstaining from the ‘Push for Champagne’ buttons, bubbles will be available should you desire, along with the perfect accompaniment of Burgundy wine all set at £75 a bottle.

Brooklands

Set in the newly opened Peninsula Hotel in Belgravia, Brooklands will be the latest restaurant from Michelin-Star Chef Director Claude Bosi. London does rooftop dining like nowhere else, and here you will savour the view of Hyde Park while enjoying a menu crafted from the best of British ingredients with traditional French techniques.

Broolands shares its namesake with the historic Surrey racetrack - the birthplace of British racing sports and flight innovation. The restaurant will feature a variety of remarkable artefacts honouring the Brooklands history.

Bocconcino, Soho

After a fantastic reception in Mayfair, Bocconcino is opening a second restaurant in Soho on 21st September. With its original restaurant being nominated for two awards by the British Restaurant Awards 2023 including ‘Best Restaurant in London’ and ‘Best Luxury Restaurant,’ it will come as no surprise that the new restaurant will follow along the same vein.

It will stay true to its roots, with a focus on Tuscan wines and a broader Italian menu. If the term ‘luxury’ makes you fret about your dining experience, have no fear as staples like wood-fired pizzas will be present. Later in 2024, the Strand will welcome yet another restaurant.

Lavo Ristorante, Marylebone

The latest member of the world-renowned Tao Group, Lavo Ristorante is set to open on 15th September in the brand new BoTree Hotel in Marylebone. Decorated with Mediterranean foliage and helmed by Italian Head Chef Stefano Lorenzini, the menu draws from seasonal and coastal Italian cuisine and offers a selection of curated cocktails to enjoy.

Alongside gastronomic plates such as a twenty-layer chocolate cake and an enormous Wagyu meatball served with whipped ricotta, guests can create their own negronis. This restaurant will surely follow its predecessors in providing Michelin-quality service, food and beverages.

Geode

Fusing together Asian and Mediterranean cuisine comes Geode, a new cocktail bar and ‘vibe-dining’ restaurant opening in Knightsbridge. Spanning three flours of a Georgian Knightsbridge townhouse, the space will feature a sculptural cocktail bar at entry level, a mezzanine conservatory with open plan kitchen, and a late-night dining space on the upper floor. Aiming to revive old-school glamour with theatrical experiences, it promises to serve food until the small hours of the morning, and blend your dining experience seamlessly into an evening soiree.

Ensuring a truly authentic Mediterranean and Asian menu, chefs Francesco Scala (ex Novikov) and Yuka Aoyama (ex Nobu, Rosa and Annabel’s) will be fronting the kitchen, which will adhere to the current trend of rotisserie and robata grills.

42 Holborn

Pre-theatre dining just got interesting; a new Mediterranean-cuisine restaurant is coming to the theatre district. Set within a Grade-II-listed building designed by architect Sir Edwin Landseer Ltyens, 42 Holborn is brining a Mediterranean inspired menu to Holborn with an all-day dining concept and event space.

Headed up by Executive Chef Erdal Atlas, diners can indulge in a business lunch or debrief the show they just watched in the theatre district over curated cocktails. With forty-two items on the menu, there is plenty to choose from. Highlights include Tuscan Chicken, Spanish Lentil Stew and Grilled Lamb Chops with Truffled Potato. Guests can also opt to dine privately for memorable occasions or sit in a gigantic deep-blue pre-dinner cocktail bar.

Honey & Co Daily

Honey & Co. have it all: established restaurants, an online shop, books and even a podcast but now they’re taking on a new venture and opening up a deli this September. Based near the new location of their flagship restaurant in Bloomsbury, visitors will be able to enjoy all the Middle Eastern delights that we have come to love from Sarit Packer and Itamar Srulovich. The dynamic wife and husband team will be using their new site as a bakery and café as well as a deli, making it so easy for us to drop by and pick up our favourite ingredients. One side of the light filled site will focus on the takeaway deli, serving coffees, pastries and lunches to go while the second side will offer a 40-cover dining space with all-day menus.

In addition to their new offerings, the team are also planning evening supperclubs on Friday and Saturday nights.
