The Newt - Somerset

Owned by South African hotelier Koos Bekker and his wife, former Elle Decoration South African editor Karen Roos, the pair have designed multiple suites across the property including the Clock House, Stable Yard and Farmyard buildings, the Gate Lodge Cottage and their newly reconstructed Roman Villa Ventorum.

For dining options, guests can enjoy elegant and seasonal dining at the Botanical Rooms. Feast on estate grown vegetables, cuts from the salt room and dayboat fish from local Dorset. The Farmyard Kitchen, located in an old Threshing Barn, is helmed by Head Chef Allan Atschul serving hearty dishes using ingredients grown, foraged and reared on the estate. The Newt also offers seasonal experiences for guests and members to enjoy throughout the year.
